System Design

Ok. I am building an older system to play around on. I want to run 3 HDD and a CD-Rom off the controller cards. Is it possible to have 2 I/O cards installed on the system at one time?

I am also having problems getting the video to show up. I havedone all the usuall things and even changed video cards and motherboards.

Also this computer will have a 100mhz 486 CPU, about 40mb of ram a 2gb tape drive, 5 1/4″ and a 3 1/2″ floppy drive. As well as a 40x cd rom.

Suggestions to make this thing run?
