System won’t Start-Up

Re-Building a PIII system,it has minimum hardware,
Configuration
Asus motherboard
800Mhz CPU
CD-ROM
The system will not boot up when the power switch is turned on,nothing runs,no cpu activity,fan does not start,no hard drive
System light on motherboard does come on
Any ideas???????
