tablet with a powered usb hub. Will it charge the tablet?

Hi all,

I want to use a Galaxy tablet with a barcode scanner attached. Scanner worked fine in the first test. Will a usb powered hub keep the tablet charged while I use the scanner? Looking at equipment it seems like it will.
