Technical Software Trouble Shooting Tools

I am a Technical Service Rep and work with software installs all day and encounter many different types of install and operating issues.

One of the most I get is different types of error messages. An example would be Error 3043, Disk or Network error.

So it makes me think that there are a lot of Application conflicts
happening.

I am seeking knowledge and tools that would help me monitor and pinpoint the cause of appllication conflicts.

Any suggestions? can you point me in the right direction?

What kind of professional training could I get for this?
