TechRepublic Pro – Benefit or Boondoggle?

I checked into the TechRepublic Pro membership and was flabbergasted (yeah, that term fits!) to see that it was $129!

Then I looked to see what benefits that $129 would get me, and all I see is the offer of a few downloads that I could probably find elsewhere on the web.

Does anyone else have more insight as to the benefits of joining (or lack thereof) beyond making one’s wallet a lot lighter?
