Temporary Exchange Server Design

Hi,

Our company is a new telco busy with a roll-out. All users currently obtain their mail via POP3 from a server located a continent away.

As we are yet to re-locate to our permanent offices we have not yet implemented a local mail-server anddo not intend implementing a full mail solution yet.

As the personnel growth is rapidly increasing, it was decided to install a single Exchange Server to allow for internal collaboration and messaging.

The problem is however that the domain name on the existing domain controller (internal) is the same as the POP3 domain (externally hosted mail service).

What would the recommended Exchange Server configuration be?
