I’m going to be adding network drops to a manufacturing floor. The floor is carpeted.
Unfortunately, the ceilings are too high to use “power poles” and network tray, and management doesn’t want the building looking like an erector set. My network cables will drop down to the floor and be terminated at a RJ45(female) connector. The connectors will be housed in a regular box/gangplate combination. The drop is about 30 feet from ceiling to floor and we are probably going to put two to four network wires down each drop.
Basically, I’m looking for any ideas on items that would look nice, but would keep the network wires somewhat taught and free from moving around. I’m thinking of velcroing it the the floor so it would be easy to move when that time comes.
Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.
