Terminal Server 2008 user profile problem.

by jon . Updated 15 years, 3 months ago

Hi. I’m a TS newb and I’m having difficulties setting up terminal server profiles for users. I have followed the guidelines for making TS profiles for server 2003 but it doesn’t seem to work with 2008 for whatever reason. (I have looked for a guide for TS 2008 but can’t find one anywhere!) Here’s what I have done

1. Create local account (to create a profile)
2. Copy that profile to another location
3. Delete the local user account that I created.
4. In user properties in AD I specify the path to the profile

First when the user logs on i get errors 1521 and 1530. These were related to permissions. So I relaxed all share and NTFS permissions for the profile.

When user logs on again, I get no errors, but it creates a profile for that user instead of using the profile i specified.

What I’m trying to do is to get a group of TS users to use the same profile so I can deliver a standard desktop etc…

Any suggestions?

Thanks
