Terminal Server/Citrix

This is with NT 4.0 Terminal Server and Citrix MetaFrame 1.8.

When a new user logs in to a session, the newly created profile is not recognizing .lnk files. Icons are showing up without text, creating a new icon will not work, and opening a .lnkfile brings up a request to choose a program to open it with.

We tried copying a current user’s profile to the new user. This fixes the problem, but causes other ones with Internet Explorer.

I’ve considered edting the ntuser.dat file where .lnk entries are found, but am leery of doing so.

I believe if we got a proper ntuser.dat file for the default profile, all would be OK.
