i am using windows nt server terminal server with I810 chip set motherboard. the mother board has got display, multimedia on mother board. it also has got AMR slot( audio modem raiser), for modem support.
i am using a LUCENT INTERNAL(PCI) WIN MODEM. the problem is nt is unable to allocate serial port (irq)to this modem. i disabled the onboard modem support also.
when i tried this modem on other systems , which are not using I810 chip set, it is working fine(in nt also).when i try on I810 chip set mother boards it is not getting allocated any com port. according to the read me file in the modem cd the installation procedure is very simple.just run the setup and reboot . no manual installation from control panel, modems. i even tried that also. i am trying to connect to my isp. i tried the same modem on windows 98 on I810 mother boards, it is working fine.only in NT it is not working on I810 mother board. other wise it is working on other mother boards(read no onboard modem support).
is there any way to set the com port & irq in registry.
