I have a Windows 2000 server at work. The server spans 2 locations, the second location uses VPN to connect to the network, we do this so everyone can use Dynamics. People at the second location can not use Dynamics without using Terminal Services to connect here. (My predecessor didn’t quite explain why.)
The people at the second location need to be able to print reports. When I go to add the printers to the computer they connect to, it shows the printers are there, but can’t connect to them. There’s also an interesting problem. One computer has a printer being shared at the second location. It works there, but not at the first location (including terminal services). However, when he logs in, it reverses. The second location can’t use the printer, but terminal services and the first location can. It puts in a random Session number in the printer name every time he connects.
I tried re-installing and updating drivers, no luck there. I have no clue how to fix this problem. Any ideas?
