Terminating single mode fiber

We have had the fortunate of getting a 48 strand length of single mode fiber burried between two facilities. It is now up to us (me) to terminate the fiber and make use of it. Hence my questions: Do I use a fiber patch panel? Which termination kit to buy (crimp, hot or cold glue) or should I hire someone to terminate the connections? Any help is greatly appreciated.
