The Two Hundredth Anniversity of the Birth of Charles Darwin

I think Darwin?s ideas are among the most important in the history of science. He’s up there with Copernicus and Gallileo in teaching us that man isn’t the centre of the universe and that he has humble beginnings. Personally, I have to say that one of the great contributions of “Origin of Species” has been to curb theocratic thought and promote secularism.

What is incredible is that so many people still actually believe in the mumbo-jumbo of creationism and intelligent design in the 21st Century.
