Hello everyone. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to TR. I had some time between setting my hair on fire and running around like a chicken with my head cut off so I thought I see what the ‘old gang’ was up to on TR. I had completely forgotten about my last posts to TR and after re-reading through them I thought I’d post again. I must admit that after re-reading the “censored” post I sounded like a pouting child. I am a bit embarrassed… no scratch that I’m a lot embarrassed. All I can ask for now is forgiveness.
I’m still the same person – I haven’t had any mid life epiphanies or become a Buddhist or anything and I still consider myself a Christian conservative. I can’t remember the context of the original posting which I thought was censored but evidently I had written something about the presidents personal religious beliefs and whether or not he was a Christian. Firstly, (not that I think he reads TR or anything I’d write) I’d like to apologize to President Obama. According to my beliefs a Christian’s salvation or the lack thereof is an intimate and highly personal thing and can only truly be known by the person and God. Who am I to pass judgment as to his salvation? I am no one. Secondly, to anyone who read my writing regardless of whether or not you agreed with me or not, I’d like to apologize to as well. I am no judge. Now with that said do I agree with the President on his politics? No, I do not. Do I believe the President is responsible for all that ails this world? No I do not. Do I believe the President should not play golf or basketball while the oil gushed into the gulf? Nope. What did people expect him to do? Fly down to the gulf and gather tar balls off the sand? He’s got a hard job and the mere fact that the US President actually plays basketball is a very cool thing indeed. In any event I am sure those who disagreed with me in the past will continue to do so but perhaps we won’t be to far off from one another. To everyone who’s reading this now regardless if you’ve read my writings in the past let me say merry Christmas. I hope during this holiday season regardless of your political or religious beliefs you find peace, hope, happiness and love.
