ThinkPad 600 power input jack problems?

Just wondering if anybody has a simple fix for a well used power input jack for the ThinkPad 600? I have tried jamming in some foil or paper in order to make a more solid conection but have had a frustrating time with power outs, if you know what I mean..
Any suggestions?
