“This computer can’t connect to the remote computer”

I’ve spent a couple weeks going through the posts here & at TechNet regarding this symptom. Sadly, none of the suggestions I’ve seen have helped resolve the issue. Here’s what I’ve got:
– (clients) WinXP SP3
– (servers) WinServer ’03 Terminal Server

When any of the users at one of our remote sites tries to connect to THIS server, they get the error “this computer can’t connect to the remote computer”. However, they CAN connect without error to my other Terminal Servers (config’d identically, except for name & IP address).

Any ideas? I’m truly stumped.
