Those Irritating Keyboard Hot keys

Does anyone know a way to disable keyboard hot keys shuch as power, sleep, internet mail, etc? They are not in the registry, and the keyboards don’t use drivers. And MS Knowledge base article Q302092 is a bit further than we want to go. 😉
