To boot Windows 2000 after deleting i386 folder by mistake

hey,

i deleted the i386 folder not knowing that it was a system file on a PC that was infected completely with viruses. Now how do i reboot the PC, am guessin the boot record has gotten deleted..should i try booting frm the floppy disk ,coz to make matters worse misplaced the installation cd of Win 2000..can i use XP instead..and also can i make a boot diskette from an installed Windows XP..using the back up option?
