Token Ring Cards

We are on a token ring environment and we just receive some IBM laptops in with an PCMCIA token ring card. We connect to an intranet and the new laptops cannot resolve some addresses, but not all in our intranet. For example, users with desktops and older laptops can ping an intranet address and the users with the new laptops gives you an error “unknown host”, but they are able to ping by ip address. Also when pinging the address by name it seems like it tries to resolve it to quickly, a second later it gives you an unknown host name. Everyone here is using the same remote DNS. Do you think it could be a problem with the token ring settings??
