Tomcat 5.5 Setup

I am working on a project where i have to develop a web based application using JSP’s to query a mysql database. Tomcat 5.5 is the web server i am using. htt://localhost brings up appache’s start up page suggesting that it has been installed properly. What i need to know is how i can access my project through the web browser. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
