Transmission Media

Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing assignment for my Data Communication subject. And the topic is related to the LAN networking, and also Transmission media, as well as the hub and routes. I do recommend one of the company to use Coaxial cable since we have to build up a networking connect to the global Internet from an island. Could anyone tell me what are the benefit for the company using coaxial cable than Fiber optic and twisted pair..?

therefore, should i use a best route and hub for my networking? What is the benefit then? Thanks for anyone who willing to help me answer the question. :))
