trojan vundo

Symatec Antivirus found a trojan.vundo virus, it was in the C:\windows\system32 folder, file name was __c00D4A90.dat It could not quaranteen it or remove it. I tried removing it manually, but windows has it locked. ANy Ideas, too many so-called removal tools that polute the system. I simply want to delete that file
