Can anyone help me rid this balsted trojan? I am running a laptop Intel 512Mb with Windows XP and have not been able to successfully remove this malicious code according to recommendations due to the following:
1) System Restore will NOT launch (could this be an ultra-clever hacker?)
2) I cannot launch the “System” folder from “Control Panel”
3) I have McAfee antivirus and Spysweeper software and active accounts and virus definition updates NEVER complete downloading (again, the work of a clever hacker or what?)
I’m fresh out of ideas and have many critical files and applications I cannot afford to loose should I need to wipe the hard drive and restore using the restore CD.
Quite a bind, huh? I’d be greatful to anyone with the remedy to this quandry. Thank you in advance!
