Trouble formating drive

by kentontator . Updated 16 years, 10 months ago

I am currently trying to reformat a HDD its a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB. At first I when I booted up with the windows CD it would go through the driver loading process and then blue screen giving me a stop 0x0000007B error. Saying it has a virus or needs to have chkdsk run on it.

Well it doesn’t have a virus because its fresh out of the box and doesn’t have anything on it…I ran seagates hdd tool on it and it passes with no errors.

I was able to get windows loaded onto the hdd but when it starts to load into setup it gets the same blue screen error codes.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kent
