Trouble make sense TCP/IP and SUB ADDR.

I am a student and have reached a point where the instructer is unable to help! I just can’t grasp the concept of TCP/IP ADDRESSING or of SUBNETING if someone knows of a way to explain it in terms that might make some sense.
