Troubleshooting Profiles

i have network based on server 2003. here i made profiles for all users. it worked properly but now there is a prob that whenever user makes a folder on desktop or in my documents and logoff after making these folder. when user login again there is nothing on desktop and also in my documents. so anybody guide me how to over come this problem.
