Trying To connect to Windows 2000 server with Remote desktop

We recently replaced a Juniper Netscreen router attached to our Windows 2000 server, and are having trouble connecting to this server remotely using Remote Desktop. Prior to the replacement we were successful in accessing via remote desktop. In addition I am not able to access the server from within the network via remote desktop. Any ideas out there.
