Turning Off a Windows 10 Computer via Wireless Internet

by russellajax . Updated 6 years, 9 months ago

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Russell, and I am currently a high school student in his senior year. For my final project, I came up with the idea to remotely turn off the school’s computer via Internet, presumably things related to the Internet of Things (IoT).
For background purposes, I came up with this idea because the school complained how the students weren’t responsible and didn’t turn the school computer off. To combat this, I came up with an idea to turn the computer off via the internet, or at least in a wireless way.
While doing my research, I became familiar with WOL (Wireless-On-LAN). However, WOL requires the computers to use an Ethernet cable, whereas my school computer is connected to the school Wi-Fi wirelessly.
So, do anyone have an idea that could help me and my project? Thank you in advance
