two network, wired and wireless: how to make it work?

by leoarellanojr . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

can anybody help me how to configure this:

3 desktop with 1 ethernet card and 1 wireless adapter each
1 network printer (connected to the wired network)

settings:

the ethernet cards
are connected to a:
linksys 8 port switch (SD2008)

static ip address
10.0.0.1 -> 10.0.0.3
255.255.0.0

the wireless adapters ( Linksys WUSB54GC)
are connected to a:
linksys wireless-G Broadband router (WRT54G)

static ip address
192.168.1.101 -> 192.168.1.103
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1 -> gateway

dns setting all key in.

problems: everytime the PC’s are connected to the two network (wired & wireless):

-i would not be able to connect to the internet.
-i would not be able to print.

is there any configuration i need to set to make all my internet request go to the
wireless network and all my printing services go to the wired network?

i know alot of people would suggest “why must you this and that” or “just change the this and that”
but what i need is to make the network work properly (or my prof would give me a failing grade :p)

i know alot of people can help :p
thanx alot!
