two sbs 2003 server in same network

I have existing network with server running sbs 2003 with DC enabled. I have 7 computers that pull data from it, alos I have 4 multi functional copier that sends scaned images to it. this slows down the network entirely. I was hoping to add a server box which will run server 2003 standard to pull data for the PCs. How can I connect new server to exsiting network? any help is welcome.
