Tying Personal Computers to a Schools Network

I am currently a student in high school and i have a question regarding our personal computers being tied in to our Schools network. Currently the way it works is we turn on the schools computer(s) and we log in to our network username. I am wandering if there is anyway i could present an idea of being able to use our personal computers to boot into the network, log in and work as if we were on a school computer, all replies are welcome.
