Unable to access Citrix server

I’m unable to access a Citrix server located on a different subnet from the client machine requesting the Citrix server. THe client can’t ping the web address or IP address. I ca access the site to load the citrix client, download is fine, but when I access the secure site I get an error:”There is no Citrix SSL server configured on the specified address”.
I can’t ping the Citrix IP without request timed out error.
Any tips where to start?
