Unable to add printer

I have AMD XP2500+ Computer with 512MB RAM running Windows XP Pro.

Suddenly all the printers icon disappeared from the Printer / Faxes windows.

When I click on ADD PRINTER, I rec’d error message stated “Operation could not be completed”.

So Far I performed Chkdsk and repair windows, yet same error message appear. What I need to do to correct above problem.

Your help would be greatly appreciated
