Unable to get my desktop

by kenyae . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

After downloading something off the internet yesterday at work (that’s what I get), and rebooting my system, I am not longer able to get my desktop (WinNT). When I try to load original configuration, I get a core dumb, and need to contact my admin. But after rebooting again, I can get to my log on. After logging on, I get the blue screen of death. I am able to load task manager, and load majority everything except my explorer.exe, control.exe (all along that line).

Some of the error messages I am getting:
Original Cofiguration: 0x00000007f (,,,)Unexpected _Kernel_Mode_Trap
After login: The instruction at 0x00405186 at “0x000000000”. The memory could not be “read”
Trying to launch explore, and control: Cannot find the file “name” or one of its components. And sometime explore launches, and disappear along with (systray, desktop, etc)

Any help will be greatly apprectiated.
