Unable to VPN through Wireless

by tcoutu2002 . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

I am hoping someone out there can help me understand this…

I recently downloaded Cisco VPN 5.0 and installed it on my new laptop. I am able to connect to my network drives when I am connected directly but when I use the Linksys Wireless G router, I cannot.

My friend that lives in the same house is able to connect VPN going through the same router and is able to connect to the network drives. The only difference is …she is using 4.8.
Therefore, I uninstalled 5.0 and installed 4.8 but still nothing. My friend is able to get in but I cannot. Same Version of VPN and going throught the same wireless router. I can VPN in and get to my network drives if I bypass the router. So is it a setting on my wireless router? If it is, then why can my friend get in?
Is it my PC? If it is, then why can I get in when I don’t use the Wireless router.
Please help!!!

Thanks
Tim
