Unknown or Illegal alias:myname@mydomainname.com

We have one mail server hosted into our company with MS Exchange 2003, our domain name called mydomainname.com has been modified with new one i.e. newmydomainname.com. So I modified recipient policies (E-mail Address Policies) in MS Exchange server to *@newmydomainname.com.
Now some users have problem receiving mail.
We have been reported by some of our clients that they receive the following error: –

?sanjana@newmydomainname.com (5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: sanjana@newmydomainname.com)

Original- Recipient:
Action: Failed
Diagnostic-code: smtp; 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: sanjana@newmydomainname.com
Remote-MTA: 194.170.0.118?

Note: our MX & PTR records are perfectly well. it is pointing out to our mail server with the IP address of our firewall.
One doubt I have which is when I do the Test Mail Server (under Diagnostics) on www.mxtoolbox.com,
It shows me
Rev DNS Check: OK – 213.XXX.XXX.XX resolves to mydomainname.com

(Pls note this domain name is my old domain name which has been modified to newmydomainname.com)

Can any genius let me know this can be the problem we are not receiving mail from some yours or any other is the problem?
