I am at my wits end!
I clicked on something stupid (it was a website) and had no virus protection. Next thing I knew, I had trojans everywhere. I was just finished installing Micro Trend PC Cillin and the computer froze. I restarted and now it loops. Only upon starting and not having a automatic restart on a system failure did I find out that I had an Unmountable Boot volume issue.
I have the CD to reload windows. I was all prepared to run it and recover the boot. However, my computer will not even attempt to run off the cd.
A little bit of info about my computer. It is a Dell Inspiron 700M laptop, about 3 years old. It runs off XP.
Please let me know if you have any advice. I would greatly appreciate it before chucking the thing into the garbage…
