unwanted gateway addrress on client

by softwise . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

How do I clear an unwanted gateway address on the client PC. Situation SBS 4.5. I/Net connection with router and single NIC. Had brief test of DSL with 2 NICs. Now cannot log on to Internet from client PC as the default gateway is set to the DSL IPaddress on all clients. Default gateway in Network settings is set correctly. But when checked with IPCONFIG default gateway is DSL address with set gateway as a secondary. Can see DSL gateway with Route Print, but cannot clear with Route Delete – route unknown. Have removed TCP protocol and reinstalled, have checked with Winipcfg – gateway not listed. The problem is on all of the clients, the server is working. Do not want a massive remove and replace of nic’s. Any suggestions it is now urgentand no solution in sight. Has anyone got a realistic solution? – the others I have.
