updating print drivers (vista\win7)

On our print server when we installed our printers we had to use the LJ4 drivers. now that is not needed i can update the drivers on the print server. When i update the drivers on the server evertyhing is gd. When the user tryies to print it has to update the driver but it is asking for an admin password how can i get the correct driver to install?
