Hi there. I’d like for everyone to post as much information on this as possible. Some questions I’d like addressed are listed below. Let me explain. Suppose an office currently has an IBM server running Windows 2000 Server. There are approx. 12 or 13 client workstations. What steps would be involved in upgrading this server with a new machine. Some questions I like to know the answer to are this:
1. Can the same Windows 2000 client licenses be used with the new sever?
2. Can the same Windows 2000 Server Licence be used?
Please try to list the steps that you would take in upgrading and point out any important details that one must take into consideration during the upgrade.
Just to be clear, the server is being replaced by a newer faster server. Not just the OS. The entire machine will be replaced.
