We are running Server 2003, purchased 4 years ago, installed is only our accounting software, which includes inventory, purchasing, order entry invoiceing. We do have a huge amount of inventory sku numbers.
It meets the recommended hard drive space, processor speed and memory.
We have 10 workstations running 2000 pro.with only Microsoft office installed and we are mapped to the accounting software on the server.
We are beginning to see codebasic errors, and General protection faults. and it takes longer for our software to respond to our keystrokes which causes us to key ahead of the field causing kick outs of the software
In the past when we have had these Symptoms, we upgraded the server and workstations.
My question is do you think we should upgrade the server or just the workstations. The servers are so expensive we are hoping to just upgrade the workstations this time around.
