USB device not recognized – Printer problem

Some days ago, I had my motherboard replaced by a new one (AMD Athlon 64 3500+, OS: Windows XP SP2) and the hard disk formatted.
Now when I try to install my printer, a Canon PIXMA MP150 connected via USB, I get a pop up saying that the device is not recognized.
I have the driver, followed the CD instructions and all, but my problem still cannot be solved.
I tried the various solutions available on this forum but none worked.

Some help would be greatly appreciated ! Is it because of my motherboard ?
Before the changes took place, my printer was operating normally
