USB Device not recognized printer

I have an HP Photosmart c4180 all in one printer. I have had it about 3 years now. It has worked perfectly until recently. I haven’t changed anything with my computer. I can use any other usb device just fine, but the printer won’t do anything. I have tried using a different printer cord and that won’t work. I’ve tried hooking it up to another computer and it had the same message of usb device not recognized or has malfunctioned.
