USB identified as LPT1

Greetings..

I have an excellent DOS program the requires a ‘hardlock’.. the program looks for LPT1 to find the hardlock. My Dell Laptop only has USB ports. Is there a way to indenify a USB port as LPT1, so the program will continue to function?
