USB PORT

My USB port is not detecting my flash disk, but it can print from that port when i use my USB Printer cable. I’ve restarted the PC severally but still the same problem. I’ve tried my flash disk on different machines and it is OK. I tried using different flash disks on my PC but still it’s not being detected, BUT MY USB PRINTER IS PRINTING USING THAT SAME USB PORT WHICH IS NOT DETECTING MY FLASH DISK.
somebody help please, for i need some urgent info on that flash disk.
