USB printing

I work for a hardware refurbisher and need to test a large number of USB printers. Each one I connect tries to install itself on a different USB virtual port and requires a new set of drivers. Is there anyway to force all printers connected to a USB port to use the same local USB port and drivers in XP? I also could change the port on the driver every time I connect a new printer, but am concerned about reaching USB999. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
