USB Related Computer Crash

My computer randomly crashes, on occasion when a usb device is plugged into one of the usb ports. It has happened with multiple different usb devices so that is not the issue. It only happens on one of my usb ports on the front of the case. When my computer crashes everything freezes (not even the cursor will move). Anyone know what the issue might be? I have a feeling it is software related or else the error should occur every time I plug a device into the usb port.
