USB to 25pin Female Parallel Printer Adapter Cable PI3A

I bought this cable ro use on canon printer bjc4200 and a canon bjc255sp.
I cant get it to work printer spits mixed type winxp wont install should be plug and play all my setting seem to be ok any ideas on what i can do also bought cable for direct from printer to usb but that was the same problem
