User login times report

Hi Everyone,

I thought this would be a pretty frequently asked question, but I did not find anything about it, so I will ask.

I have am frequently asked if I know of a software package that lets you create a report that will help me generate a report on when users logged in. Specificly I have a need for two reports, the first is a report organized by user, showing when they logged in. And another report would be showing who logged in for a certain day.

If I could get that data out of the event log and into Excel I could organize everything, but I am not aware of how to do that, if it can even be done.

So I actually have two questions, A) is there a free/low cost package to create those reports automatically, and B) if not, is there a way to dump my event log into an XLS sheet?
