I have a user who up until yesterday was able to print to the networked printer. Then today, she calls me over and when she tries to print, she gets an error. I ping the printer from her workstation and it is successful.
So then I figure I’ll just uninstall the printer and then install it again. But when i go to install network printers and click ‘find now’ to list all the printers, nothing shows up.
If I log off her user name and log in as domain admin, I am able to see the network printers. But bare mind, this is not a security issue because she has had access prior and nothing was changed.
So i go back on her name and install the printer through TCP/IP port. Sure it works, but I need to know why network printers suddenly disappear from sight. This is the second user this month who has had this problem now.
